Black Stars captain – André Ayew has dedicated Swansea City’s playoff qualification to the vociferous supporters [Jack Army] of the Welsh side.
André, had been very optimistic about the Swans earning a playoff spot despite their tumultuous run to the end of the season, but the moment finally came yesterday at the Madejski Stadium where Swansea City annihilated Reading 4-1 to seal a playoff spot.
A delighted André Ayew went to his Twitter handle soon after the game to thank the supporters:
“What a feeling !! Red heartWhite circleBlack circle jack army it’s for you 👊🏽!! It’s never over when there is hope keep believing and never give up!,” he wrote.
The Black Stars forward did not leave out Wayne Routledge who scored a brace for the Swans:
“Thank you @WayneRoutledge for the Soccer ballSoccer ball.. now time to get ready for playoffs.”
Despite winning by 4-1 Swansea City hopes of qualification still hanged in the balance as what ever happens in the game between Stoke City and Nottingham Forest at the City Ground will determine the fate of the Swans in the end.
But, Nottingham Forrest lost 1-4 to Stoke City, allowing Swansea City to leapfrog them on goal difference.
