Al Ahly manager – Pitso ‘Jingles’ Mosimane has been fined by the Egyptian Football Association [EFA] for comments in his last press conference.

The South African manager [Mosimane] lamented about the piled fixture schedule of the Egyptian Premier League in the post match conference after the Red Devils 1-1 draw game against Zamalek on Monday.

Pitso did not understand why the Cairo Derby will be scheduled just few days to Al Ahly’s CAF Champions League game against his former club – Mamelodi Sundowns.

“If it were my way because Ahly is the only time playing in the CAF Champions League representing Egypt, we would protect Ahly and not play a game of the magnitude of Zamalek,”Pitso bemoaned.

Pitso’s comments suggest the league schedule hinders their ambitions and as a result, the league has sanctioned the Red Devils coach with a fine of 20 thousand Egyptian Pounds [R17 835].

“The Competitions Department of the Egyptian Football Association decided to impose a fine on Al-Ahly Club of 50 thousand pounds for the members of the technical staff and some substitutes to go to the pitch to celebrate a goal, 50 thousand pounds for collective insults against one of the elements of the game, 20 thousand for a collective objection from the technical staff, and 20 thousand Ali Betsu Musimani, the art director, or what was mentioned during the press conference,” a statement from the EFA read.

Zamalek on the other hand was also punished for an unconventional celebration.

“The Competitions Administration also decided to impose a fine of 50 thousand pounds on the Zamalek club for the descent of the technical staff and some substitutes on the field to celebrate the achievement of a goal, and 50 thousand for the repeated collective interception of the technical staff, and the suspension of the player Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” for two matches and a fine of 50 thousand pounds for unconventional behavior The athlete.”
