Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua constituency in the Ashanti region and the Minister of Youth and Sports – Isaac Kwame Asiamah has said that Ghana is ready to host the 2017 AITEO CAF Awards Gala.

“I want to thank CAF for the honour and confidence invested in Ghana to be the venue for this awards ceremony,” Honorable Asiamah said at the unveiling ceremony of the nominees for the Gala held at the Movenpic Hotel in Accra on Monday, December 18.

“I have no doubt that Ghana will deliver a near perfect event to the admiration of all of us.”

Honorable Isaac Kwame Asiamah immortalized the media for their positive contributions to the development of African football.

“I would also like to thank the media for the role they’ve played in highlighting this event. Indeed, the sports media are the reason why professional sports persons, clubs, and teams develop and prosper.”

“The media over the years we are proud of you for the immense contribution to the development of the game of football.

“In view of the important role the media play in the nomination of the candidates. I want to believe that the media will be fair in its selection of nominees for the AITEO CAF Awards this year,” he added.
