Coach James Kwesi Appiah’s three debutant were all but, excellent on Sunday as the Black Stars took their Ethiopian counterpart to the cleaners in the 2019 AFCON qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The Black Stars returnee coach [Kwesi Appiah] boldly named three debutant; Raphael Dwamena, Thomas Agyapong, and Lumor Agbenyenu in his starting line-up to the admiration of many a soccer fan who had gathered at the Baba Yara Stadium.

True to his bet, the three players [Dwamena, Agyapong, and Lumor] gave out an excellent performance on the day to justify why they were chosen ahead of their colleagues in camp.

Manchester City’s loaned midfielder [Thomas Agyapong] who plays for Dutch Eerste Divisie side, NAC Breda combined excellently with Ebenezer Ofori, Thomas Partey, and Andre Ayew in Ghana’s midfield. It was no surprising therefore to see him named as the Black Stars man of the match by www.sports24ghana.com

1860 Munich’s Lumor Agbenyenu also exhibited the qualities in him on the flanks, especially his link up play with the midfielders and the attack was just superb.

Also playing for the first time was FC Zurich’s goal monger Raphael Dwamena who scored twice in the second half for the Black Stars.

In the end, one could conclude that Kwesi Appiah’s debutant proved that Ghana indeed is endowed with lots of football talents.
