A Samuel Bioh’s last minute goal was enough for Aduana Stars to beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa on Wednesday.
But, the main storeyline on the day was how both teams chose to start the match with ten players instead of eleven .
Both sides finished off the entire first half with 10-men, with Aduana Stars sitting out Farouk Adams and Kotoko playing without Martin Antwi.
After a goalless first half, both teams lifted their game in the second stanza creating few decent goal scoring opportunities but failing to put the ball behind the net.
Just when the match seemed to be heading to a goalless drawn game, Samual Bioh picked up a pass and went on a solo attack, beating two Kotoko defenders on the road before planting the ball at the far corner post and beyond the reach of goalkeeper Kwame Baah.
