Former CAF Champions League campaigners – Aduana Stars has overtaken WAFA to the top spot of the 2017 Ghana Premier League table following their 1-0 win over Inter Allies at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday, August 27.
The solitary goal came in the 5th minute through Sam Adam’s penalty kick that swerved Inter Allies goalkeeper Kwame Baah.
The game became intense right after the goal with Aduana Stars looking more poised for goals, but the visitors defended gallantly to deny them the opportunity to extend their lead.
Meanwhile, West African Football Academy [WAFA] who are in a neck race with Aduana Stars for the Premier League title lost 0-1 to Tema Youth giving the Ogya Boys [Aduana Stars] the opportunity to leapfrog WAFA to the summit of the ladder with 47 points, one point better than the soccer physicians.
