Liberty Professionals winger – Adamu Amadu is feeling elated after scoring his maiden goal for the scientific soccer lads in their 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Saturday.
The winger who had played three matches on the bounce for the scientific soccer lads but had not hit the back of the net claim there was a little bit of pressure on him during his goal scoring dry season.
He, however, promised to score some more once the duck has been broken.
“It feels amazing scoring [at last] because I had played three matches and the goals were not coming.
“They [Liberty] know I am capable of scoring, but the rhythm was not coming.
“Now that I’ve gotten my rhythm, I know that surely there is more to come.
“They bought me knowing what I can do, but I was not delivering so it was difficult and to relief that pressure off me, I had to score so I thank Allah.”
Talented midfielder – Abraham Wayo broke the deadlock for Liberty Professionals in the 6th minute before setting up Amadu to extend their lead in the 79th minute.
