Mamedia Ventures [a media consultancy, events management and advertising company] on Holy Saturday, April 20, marked the second edition of its annual blood donation awareness walk – Mamedia Easter Walk and Blood Donation as hundreds thronged the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to donate blood.

The 2019 Mamedia Easter Walk christened ”WALK FOR LIFE – KUMASI” brought hundred of volunteers dominated by members of the northern zone of the National Supporters Union of Ghana and the Daddy Lumba Fan Club [Based in Kumasi] walked from the Baba Yara Stadium to Adum and back.

The walk, organized to create awareness on voluntary blood donation and its benefits as well as to encourage the public to live a healthy lifestyle attracted members of the Referees Association of Ghana [RAG] and other volunteer groups to donate pints of blood to stock the Blood Bank of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital [KATH)].

Nii Maale – Adsei, the Managing Director of Mamedia Veentures expressed delight at the numbers and hoped it would get better as the years rolls by.

He further called for more corporate support to be able to provide more blood to stock the blood bank whiles commending the participants for their passion and dedication towards the exercise.

The 2019 Mamedia Easter Walk and Blood Donation exercise was proudly sponsored by the MTN Ghana Foundation with support from SIC Insurance Company Limited, M&G Pharmaceuticals, Graphic Communications Group Limited, Everpure Company Limited, Century Drinking Water and the Sports Hotel.

Other sponsors include; the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly [KMA], the National Youth Authority [NYA], and the Ashanti Regional Police/MTTU.
