Abrepo is all, but ready to battle boot-for-boot against eleven  other communities for the ultimate crown of the 2022 MTN Ashantifest Cup.
The defending champions [Abrepo] won the maiden edition of the MTN Ashantifest Cup held at the Paa Joe Stadium inside the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology [KNUST] campus last year, having beaten Kotei Deduako 5-4 on penalties after the two sides had played goalless within regulation time.
But, unlike last year’s event which witnessed only eight communities, the competition has been expanded in the 2022 edition to make room for four more communities to participate – Asokore Mampong, Dichemso, Bantama and Asafo to make it twelves  teams.
According to the organizers each participating team will take home one thousand Ghana Cedis [Gh¢1,000] as appearance fee and a set of jerseys. The winner, however, will take home a cash prize of twenty Ghana Cedis [Gh¢20,000], a trophy, medals and massive MTN airtime.
The runner up who will take home ten thousand Ghana Cedis [Gh¢10,000] cash prize and medals as well as MTN airtime, while the third and fourth placed teams will also be rewarded with five thousand [Gh¢5,000] and two thousand [Gh¢2,000] Ghana Cedis respectively.
The MTN FA Cup final between Hearts of Oak and Bechem United which comes off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi will climax the 2022 MTN Ashantifest.
