Team England has revealed the divers who will be competing this year at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The athletes will be at Sandwell Aquatic Centre for the event starting this July.
Olympic medalists Matty Lee and Jack Laugher have been included in the Birmingham 2022 squad. Out of the 18 divers, 10 will be making their Commonwealth debut this year.
Olympic gold medalist Tom Daley will not be competing this year. The diver previously won four Commonwealth Games gold medals, most recently in the 10m synchronised platform dive in 2018.
However, his swimming partner Dan Goodfellow will be at the Centre this summer. Goodfellow won gold in the 10m synchronised platform dive with Daley and will be hoping for further success in the West Midlands.
Goodfellow has already tested out the diving boards himself after appearing at the venue to mark 100 days to go. The aquatics centre will eventually open to the public, nearly a year after the Games ends.
