The Gabon national team have arrived at the Banjul International Airport but are being greeted with an unfair treatment as the passports of the players and staff have been seized for more than 2 hours, leaving them stranded.

Gabon established a three-point lead at the top of Group D with a 2-1 victory against Gambia on Thursday courtesy of a goal each from Denis Bouanga and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

The return leg is due today at the Independence Stadium, Bakau but the visitors are already going through immigration challenges ahead of the game.

According to SPORTS24GHANA.COM checks, immigration in Gambia were demanding for negative COVID-19 certificates which the Gabonese claim they submitted as required by law to the authorities.
