Eric Asamany’s first half goal was enough for West African Football Academy [WAFA] to beat Great Olympics 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 7 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League.

The Wonder Club [Olympics] came into the game very strong pushing forward from all angles right from the blast of the referee’s whistle, but got punished in the 25th minute as Eric Asamany hit the back of the net for the soccer physicians – WAFA.

The young forward having received a pass from Forson Amankwah, dribbled past two Olympics defenders to open space for him to slot the ball into the goal.

Asamany failed to make it two for the visitors in the 27th minute as he missed the goals coring opportunity in the 27th minute of the game. Sampson Agyapong also came close to scoring in the 33rd minute, but his attempt hit the side net.

With their back against the wall Olympics made three substitution in the second half, bringing on Emmanuel Amartey, Ashitey Ollenu, and Emmanuel Clottey but their introduction could not save the wonder club from escaping defeat.
