The struggles of the West African Football Academy [WAFA] at home in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League continued on Sunday as Dreams FC held them to a goalless drawn game at the Red Bull Arena on matchday 10.
The Red Bull Arena in Sogokope which used to be a fortress for visiting teams has suddenly become a shanty ground as the soccer physicians have already drawn an unprecedented four games at home.
After a cagey start the academy boys took charge of the game in the 15th minute as Lawrence Agyekum and Prosper Ahiabu held things tight in the middle.
Though dictating the pattern of play, Dreams FC did not open up for the home side to enter the shop until the 33rd minute where Richard Danso was put through with a teasing pass, but the attacker could not go past goalkeeper Godfred Amoah.
The Dreams FC shot stopper [Godfred Amoah] produced two excellent saves in the second stanza to deny WAFA from putting the ball in his net.
Amoah delivered a sweet save in the 70th minute to stop Augustine Boakye’s curled attempt at goal before producing a magical save to deny Lawrence Agyekum in the 74th minute.
