The Local Organizing Committee [LOC] for the 2018 Total Africa Women Cup of Nations will travel to Cape Coast today to inspect the facilities earmarked for the hosting of the competition.

The inspection team includes Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang [Chairman of the National Sports Authority] and Leanier Addy [Chairperson of the Women’s League Board].

The Ministry of Youth and Sports [MOYS] on Thursday, September 28 inaugurated a 10 member committee consisting of experienced football administrators as well as government officials and charged them to steer the affairs of the competition with Honorable Freda Prempeh as its head.

Meanwhile the CAF Inspection team is expected to arrive in Accra on Saturday, 2nd December to also inspect the facilities to determine whether Ghana can host the event.

The 13th edition of the biennial women’s football championship, which will also serve as qualification to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France will be held from November 17 – 1 December, 2018.
