Jamaican Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and her husband Omar Brown, are expecting their first child and has hinted that she could be retiring from the sport of track and field.
In a post on her Instagram account on Tuesday, the 2004 and 2008 Olympic 200 champion revealed her latest milestone.
“We look forward to parenthood and all the joys and challenges that come with it. We pray for strength and wisdom to be the best parents possible,” said the 2007 World 100m champion, who at 36, hinted that she may be calling time on her illustrious career that has spanned two decades during which she has won 19 major medals, including three Olympic and three World Championships gold medals.
“At this moment, I am uncertain if I will return to competition, as the main focus is to welcome our baby and to provide the best environment filled with love, warmth and care.”
