The Legacy Trust on Thursday gave out close to R100 million in funding for various projects which included Women’s National League, Junior National Teams, the National Technical Centre among others.

The presentation was done by SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan with the help of the Legacy Trust general manager Joe Carrim.

Among those who attended the handover of cheques to various areas within football were SAFA vice-president Ria Ledwaba, SAFA NEC member Linda Zwane, Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis, captain Janine van Wyk and a host of players from the High Performance Centre.

The biggest beneficiaries of the Legacy Trust funding this time around were the National Women’s League, Junior National Teams and the National Technical Centre.
