Former Hearts of Oak workaholic winger – Charles Allotey has called on the management of Hearts of Oak to relegate coach Edward Nii Odoom to the junior side [Aroras] and find a more competent manager to handle the team.
Charles Allotey, a key figure in the ’64 Battalion’ that conquered Ghana and Africa, winning the Ghana Premier League on the bounce, the FA Cup, CAF Champions League, and the CAF Super Cup holds the view that the dwindling performance of the team [Hearts of Oak] is as a result of the poor handling of players by coach Odoom who took over from Kim Grant.
“They should give Aroras to him [Odoom] and find a new coach because you could see that the performance of the team has taken a nosedive since he assumed the position after Grant’s exit, so they should give him Aroras and find a new coach for Hearts of Oak,” Charles Allotey said in an interview with Oteng Appau Papin of Onua TV.
Hearts of Oak sits eighth on the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League log with 21 points, five places behind Asante Kotoko [3rd].
