The Black Bombers [the national boxing team of Ghana] have intensified their preparations as they seek to win laurels for Ghana at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Currently, twenty-nine [29] boxers [24 men, 5 women] are on a non residential camping at the Accra Sports Stadium under the guidance of coaches; Ofori Asare and Akai Nettey.

According to our sources, only seven boxers will be selected to represent Ghana at the Games.

Coach Asare has revealed that the Black Bombers stand a chance of winning medal[s] for the country and called on corporate Ghana to come to their aid as they prepare to go lift the flag of Ghana high in far away Australia.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games [GC2018] which will take place in Queensland, Australia will start from April 04-15.
