Former Manchester United winger David Robert Joseph Beckham has eulogized Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt for the millions of smiles he brought to the faces of those who watched him on the tracks.

Usain Bolt, the only athlete in the history of athletics to win Olympic gold in three consecutive Olympic Games in 100m, 200m, as well as the 4 X 100 metres relay [Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016] failed to culminate his humongous swagger in style as he came third in the men’s 100m race at the IAAF World Championships in London but David Beckham gives him a thumbs high nonetheless.

““We salute you my friend. For so many years we have watched in admiration in what this man ha s achieved and the happiness he has brought not just to the sport but to millions of children and adults that have had the pleasure to witness the heights of what he has reached year after year,” Beckham said.

According to Beckham it is so sad to see Usain Bolt, who is widely considered as the greatest sprinter of all time retires.

“It’s so sad to see it come to an end but all I’ll want to say is Thank you Usain Bolt.”
